Floating candyfloss.

The F word.

"No! Stop goddammit, you are putting the fear inside of me!"

Fear.  A concept I think about a lot.  I understand all the reasons why we feel intimidated by the fear.  Why it keeps us from doing what we actually want.  Well, I say fuck the fear. It's time to get offensive.

Discover a new way of thinking.

You forgot to put your thoughts on a leash this morning.
Standing in the queue for coffee they tip-toe their way to unknown ground.
They make their way through long, yellow tipped grass and suddenly they are confronted by a man with a red face; pierced with bones and dressed with feathers.  He lifts an obscure artefact to his nose.
It’s a piece of bread.
This presents a unique opportunity.
Luckily your thoughts packed a toaster.

Searching for the soul of silence.

I sit on a corner of the street.  I am armed with strong, black coffee and no sugar, pondering the satisfactions and disappointments this life gently holds in hand.  I sit amongst people reading newspapers - their faces portray every thought of disgust at their own silly little framework.
I sit on this corner of the street listening to the future's mechanics.  All the artificial sounds are fighting for a place in their existence.  My ears try to discover the secrets within.

Can true sound live in this chaotic verse?  Only in the absence of noise can true sound really exist.  Each day is a new start to my search, the journey to inner silence - the true yearn of my soul.

Imagine your world without radio.

You're somewhere between Beaufort and Aberdeen.  Sweat oozing from your forehead.  Your car turns into a boiling kettle and you discover the true meaning of dehydration.  Suddenly a shadow appears from your left.  You struggle between frequencies.

Keep your eyes on the road.  The shadow grows larger.  A little dressed as Charlie Chaplin is steadily galloping on a crocodile's rugged back.  She flicks her whip with her right hand and casually waves with the left.

Never underestimate the power of your mind.  Radio is more than just a medium.

Cape Town

My first year staying in town.
It is a vibrant place with colourful sounds.
I am enjoying the cloudy days.
